In the 17th century, Croatian mercenaries serving in France tied strips of fabric around their necks — practical for warmth, yet stylish enough to catch the eye of King Louis XIII. The court adopted the look, and the cravat was born.

Over centuries, this simple strip of cloth evolved — shaped by culture, tailored by craftsmen, and knotted by those who understood that small details speak volumes. In the 19th century, the modern tie emerged: slender, refined, and the perfect companion to a well-cut jacket.
